By zero waste they mean nothing to the landfill. I think this could become a positive trend as Honda and Toyota try to out green the other. This is the kind of competition where we all win. “Our goal is that this plant in Indiana will have the smallest environmental footprint of any Honda auto plant in North America.” They will probably build Civics and Fits there.

Accelerating energy efficiency improvements alone can reduce the worlds energy demand in 2050 by an amount equivalent to almost half of today's global energy consumption, said the report.
